I just started building a D&D game
I just started building a D&D game, and Meshy made it super easy to create my initial base character bodies; something that would have taken me months only took a day or so.
One thing I would say. I would like to see if there is a way to enhance the poly count for rigged bodies.
infelizmente ele gera uns arquivos errados diferentes da imagem original. mas se tentar varias vezes melhora. o problema sao a quantidade de tokens que gasta até chegar no resultado final
excellent I use/ have tried ALOT of agentic platforms as well as have built some of my own - and credit where credits due - Meshy does a fantastic job 3D modelling in the speed, quality, and cost. I'd truly recommend this if youre making a game / 3D modelling objects for websites - it will save you days. Beats 5.6 Sol , Fable 5, All Google models, Deepseek, Kimi K3, Qwen - in raw input to output (with alot of 3d pipelines added to agents)
I would like to see more exploration on making scenes/buildings/maps/areas as thats the only point lacking - though you can build structure by structure.
I liked how easy it was to upload a model. However it isnt super clear on cost vs free, and how to at least get a free model to try. It took some playing around to figure it out as the auto default to meshy 7 is not the free portion. Once I had it figured out I was able to try lower resolution models, and it seems easy. Next is to learn about coloring models, or separating out portions of a print for easier printing.
I’ve been using Meshy to model characters, buildings, and other assets for the indie game I’m working on.
When Meshy first came out a year or two ago, I felt like it still had a lot of limitations. But it has improved so much over time, and now the quality of the AI-generated 3D models is honestly impressive.
They also provide an API, so I’ve integrated Meshy into my agent workflow and built it into my asset creation pipeline.
I definitely recommend giving it a try.
I'll mention two problems.
1. UI/UX is so "advanced", my cheap - low system Laptop almost freeze when i click "Update" or some other fancy UI menus
2. About Remesh ruining normal map. To be able to use the models in games we need to remesh them and lower the number of vertices/faces, but doing that ruins the normal map. It is a baking problem, I assume, because I had similar issues in the past, and I do believe it can be solved through baking method. When we manually do that in a 3D software, we choose a margin or use an additional third object to detect the margin, and in the areas where the object has corners, we need more space between the target object and the magin object.
Overall, I'm happy to see Meshy 7, it is working great other than this two problems. I could mention the problems in rigging and animating but it would be too much to ask in my opinion
Meshy refusing to reïnstate original payment plan after failed payment.
Last night Meshy tried to bill me for a renewal of my quarterly plan. Due to some grocery shopping earlier that day my saldo on my bankaccount was too low, so the payment failed. This trigger a reversal of my Pro account back to a Free account. Upon contacting customer service, I was told my payment was declined by S€PA and triggered this reversal. Customer service basically told me just to renew my plan with their updated price, meaning I had to pay €12/quarter year more than before, just because a payment service blocked a payment without letting me know, and Meshy not retrying the payment after I topped up my bankaccount.
Meshy AI couldn't even generate a simple 2 sided bucket. Useless, I dread to think how it would generate complex models. AI has potential but its certainly not there yet
You have to pay to download the 3D models, but I’m poor. Please remove the system that requires payment for 3D model downloads. I dream of creating animations, but not being able to download them for free is making that dream difficult to achieve. So, please make the downloads free (especially for Smart Topology).
Do not waste your money. The AI generator cannot even produce a double sided water bucket with a simple logo. The AI kept putting holes in the bucket, texturised the bucket and completely changed the name on the logo, then I spent nearly 1,000 credits trying to ask it to smooth the bucket, fill the holes and put the name right on the logo. 9am to 4pm so during that time I could have done a better job myself. Waste of money and I think the AI is designed to mess with you. Now deleted my account and do not recommend whatsoever.
Dont waste your money! pretty scammy designed to waste your credits. will generate model to 90% accuracy. then when you make a small change to get to 100%, it goes down to 40% accuracy. basically wasted 3000 credits and ended up with 0 usable prints.
Although Meshy.ai is not bad at it's PIC to 3D. It's Text to image is atrocious! It purposely fails on what you ask it to do! you can draw an image and ask it to do that, it will do the oposite and it costs you a months tokens just to generate an OK representative of what you need! Then it takes you a very long time to sort the issues in BLENDER. Cancelling my subscription! Better off using the FREE tools on BLENDER
Cancellation is deceptive, ruins the overall product
Software is cool and works alright, but there’s a learning curve and you will pay in tokens while you learn which isn’t cool. Signup was really quick and easy… Cancellation was not. Multi-step process, required fields and at least 3 steps to cancel…. This is a deceptive business practice and it makes me angry. If I want to cancel, it should be as easy as signup. But the extra steps and required fields turns what is a good software product into something I expect from nefarious SaaS companies. Shame on you.
Service seemed ok, but most of the models weren't properly set up to be imported. There were numerous basic issues with models, which only about 50% could be fixed.
The deal breaker for me is that I cancelled my subscription weeks ago, only for them to force a "free extension" upon me (I didn't accept it), and then they tried to charge me several times thereafter.
I haven't used the service in months, can't get in touch with anyone to sort the issue, the "cancel" button has conveniently disappeared and searches don't yield any links.
They use the excuse of removing the cancellation button until you pay them, but try to charge you unfairly - basically.
Product is good. But they offer a discount €68,40 for a year. But apperantly just before you check out they will increase the price to €180,- and even PayPal wont help you. Wish I could send you all a printscreen. But take a good look at the price.
